There are probably not many people who haven't seen an episode of Green Acres-(or, if you're like me, the whole series!) My kids even watch it, thanks to Nick at Nite. Who can forget the wonders of life-as comically portrayed-when the decision was made that "Farm livin' is the life for me..."! In that very family friendly show, farm livin' wasn't all peaches and cream-as many of us can attest to-but love and family win out in the end.
Just like in any life situation, there are ups and downs-hills (sometimes mountains) that must be scaled, but when you get to the summit, man, what a view! There are advantages and disadvantages to everything we do in life, and farm life is no different. However, when you can be in the midst of God's wonder, truly loving your surroundings, it sure does make the disadvantages easier to bare!
